NAME:	CABBAGE GARDEN
ADDRESS:	Cathedral Lane, off Kevin Street, Dublin 8.
UNDER THE CARE OF:	Dublin City Council Parks Department. The graveyard is now a small park.
PERIOD OF USE:	1666 -1878.
PRESENT RECORD LOCATIONS:	Records for the Church of Ireland Parish of St. Nicholas Without from 1694 -1875 are in the custody of the Representative Church Body Library. ADDITIONAL:	The graveyard served the parish of Saint Nicholas Without (i.e. outside the city walls). The Cabbage Garden is sometimes referred to as the Capuchin Garden and it is suggested that Cabbage is a corruption of Capuchin. However, there are no records extant that indicate that the Capuchins were connected with this plot. Another possible explanation is that during the Cromwellian occupation the occupying soldiers cultivated cabbages on the site.
