Gleeson Very numerous: Tipperary-E limerick-E Clare. Ir. Ó Gliasáin. Woulfe considers the correct name was Ó Glasáin (glas, grey). They were a sept on the E shore of L Derg, Tipperary, whence they were dispossessed in the Cromwellian settlement. IF.
