Comaskey fairly numerous: Oriel, Down, Cavan, Longford. Ir. Mac Cumascaigh, from cumascach, mixing or confusing. Originally of Oriel (in Monaghan), there is some confusion with Comerford. MIF.
Cummiskey Quite numerous: Armagh-Louth-Monaghan, Longford etc. Mac Cumascaigh. Perhaps from cumascach, confusing. More usually Comiskey, q.v.
MacComiskey Quite numerous: Antrim, Belfast area etc. Ir. Mac Cumascaigh, from cumascach, confusing. The name is associated with Breifne. Also as Comiskey, Cumiskey, q.v.
