MacGugan Very rare: Antrim. Ir. Mac Guagáin, according to Woulfe a corrupt form of Mag Eochaidhín, with many synonyms: Mac Googan, Mac Wiggan, Pidgeon. Guagán means an unstable, unreliable person. Obviously not a popular name.
