Lohan fairly numerous: Galway-Roscommon etc. Ir. Ó Leocháin, spelled Ó Lóthcháin by the Annalists, it relates to a sept of W Meath, dispersed at the Invasion. It may derive from first name Lóch, meaning radiant. See Logan. MIF.
