Haid

Haid households in mid-nineteenth century Ireland

No Haid households in Griffith's.

Surname Dictionary

Hade fairly rare: Carlow etc. Ir. Ó h-Aidí (SGA). MacLysaght considers it a Gaelic name but is not sure of the original form. It appears as Hayde and, very rarely, Haide. All correspond geographically with Hayden, q.v.
Hayde rare: Dublin etc. See Hade.
Ó h-Aidith Hade, Hayde: annamh, Deisceart Laighean. Ach tá Ó h-Éidigh ortha anois i Maigh Eó.
Ó h-Éididh Haide: annamh: Ceatharlach. Leagan d'Ó h-Aidith, de réir de Bhulbh, ach níl aon rian den sloinne seo i gConnachta anois. Is cosúil go bhfuil sé gaolmhar le Ó h-Eideáin.
