Surname Dictionary

Fleury fairly rare: scattered. MacLysaght says it is a variant of Furey, for which the Irish is Ó Furreidh (Annals); Ó Fíodhabhra (Woulfe). The spoken language is Ó Fiúra. However, this name is current in England and France, so a foreign origin is possible in some cases at least.
