MacAnulty Quite numerous: Down etc. Ir. Mac an Ultaigh. "son of the Ulsterman". See also Mac Nulty.
MacNulty numerous: Donegal-Derry-Tyrone, Ulster generally, Sligo-Mayo-Galway. Ir. Mac an Ultaigh, son of the Ulsterman. A sept of Donegal. IF.
Nalty fairly rare: Galway-Mayo etc. Ir. Mac Conallta (wild hound). There is some confusion with Nulty, which is Mac an Ultaigh (son of the Ulsterman).
Nulty fairly numerous: Meath-Louth etc. Variant of Mac Nulty, q.v.
