Caddoo rare: Tyrone etc. Ir. Mac Conduibh (black hound), the subject of many anglicisations such as: Caddow, Mac Adoo, Mac Niff. The original name is of Connacht & W Ulster.
MacAdoo Quite numerous: Ulster generally, Cork etc. Ir. Mac Conduibh, "black hound" and modern Mac Connuibh. This name also appears as Cunniffe which is more numerous and associated with Connacht. See also Caddoo and Mac Niff. MIF.
